The 2025 Blood Drive and Fundraiser was held on Saturday, February 22 from 9am to 4pm at Daemen University’s Scott Beiler College of Health Professions Gym. This year, approximately 80 units of blood were collected during the drive and over $3700 raised! Below are pictures from the event. So many thank you’s -

2024 Alison Rose Foundation Golf Tournament
Rain or Shine, Again??
Has it really rained on tournament day three years in a row? Despite the challenge presented by the weather, over $47,000 was raised by the 2024 Alison Rose Foundation Golf Tournament!
So as the case has been the past three years, our annual golf tournament began with beautiful sunny skies. After check-in, raffle purchases, buffet lunch provided by Rizzo’s, and some practice swings and putts, 96 golfers made their way to their carts and off to their respective starting holes. The gorgeous weather quickly gave way to the clouds and rain and golf was halted for a “pit stop party” in the cart barn. A break in the weather and golf started again. But low and behold, the foul weather reappeared and the tournament was called for the day. Alas, it was time for a delicious meal prepared by Joseph’s Catering and the $1 million hole in one contest. Lucky golfer Nick Kelly won the chance, but came up short (and right) in the attempt.

Tour de Ali 2024
The weather was perfect for hiking, biking and picnicking! Saturday, June 1 saw over 50 people venture to Keuka Lake to celebrate and participate in this, our 4th annual Tour de Ali! Whether it was the 15 or 25 mile ride around the Bluff and along Lake Keuka or the hike on the groomed trails through the beautiful park, we were all ready to enjoy the Barbeque lunch catered by Penn Yan’s own BBQ Shack.
Thank you to everyone who participated and donated for this year’s events. Through the individual and generous donations of our sponsors, we raised more than $9000 for the Alison Rose Foundation!

Another successful wine night took place on May 25 at Wine on Hertel. This year’s event opened the doors to men for the first time. Participants enjoyed wonderful food prepared especially for the night. A big thank you to Justin and Wine on Hertel for allowing us to use their space. Also, much appreciation goes out to Samantha Evans for the delicious cookies that were given to everyone in attendance!

Another successful blood drive with ConnectLife was held Saturday, February 24th at D’Youville College. Seventy units of blood were donated honoring the memory of Alison Rose Waclawek who passed during childbirth in 2019. Over $3000 was also raised for the foundation through donations and a basket raffle.
A big thank you to ConnectLife and their dedicated staff for working on a Saturday to make the blood drive so successful. Also thanks to all those who came out on a chilly day either to donate blood, take a chance on the baskets or just enjoy the company of friends and family. Our sincere appreciation to all those who donated baskets and helped out during the day.

Monday, August 7th saw 100 golfers take to the links at Brookfield Country Club in Clarence, NY. After registration, lunch and some practice swings and putts, the shotgun start began this year’s tourney in glorious sunshine. But just remember, this is Western New York and with five holes completed, the rains came and the cart barn became a respite from the monsoon-like conditions. After a bit of a delay, play resumed and the participants continued in both rain and sunshine. The interesting weather couldn’t put a damper on this year’s event. Dinner followed and winners of the basket raffles were thrilled to take home their baskets. Ian Leberer won the chance at the One Million Dollar shot, but came up short! Better luck next year!

2023 Tour de Ali
Another Successful Ride in the Books!
Three sets of riders set out Saturday, June 10, 2023 to get in some exercise while supporting the Alison Rose Foundation and honoring Ali. The routes were planned to test riders of all abilities with challenging hills with the most beautiful views. RIders could choose from riding 40 miles, 25 miles or 15 miles with a wonderful barbeque lunch upon completion! All rider received a specially made hooded sweatshirt.

A big thank you to all the ladies (and gentleman) who participated in this year’s wine night at “Wine on Hertel” on Saturday, May 13th. It was a wonderful evening filled with fine dining and drinks in the newly renovated venue. Every one in attendance left with a bottle of Prosecco, one of Ali’s favorites.

The Buffalo Community came together again to show their support at the February 25th Alison Rose Foundation Blood Drive held at D’Youville College. Connect Life had all hands on deck to handle those who came to give “the gift of life.” 95 units of blood were collected despite the ice and chilly weather. All blood donors received a voucher for two tickets to an upcoming Buffalo Bandits home game.
But blood wasn’t the only thing collected as a basket raffle and 50/50 drawing were also held raising just over $5000 for the Foundation.
A big thank you to everyone who braved the elements on Saturday to support this event - blood donors and raffle participants, and all those who worked behind the scenes ahead of time and during the event - staff and security at D’Youville, Connect Life staff and volunteers, ARF board members and volunteers, basket raffle donors, table volunteers - This could not have been so successful without your help!
Next year’s winter blood drive is already in the planning stages!!!
Alison Waclawek Memorial Blood Drive
A big “THANK YOU” to everyone who supported the Alison (Carey) Waclawek Memorial Blood Drive that was held on October 8, 2022 at the Chili Community Center.
What a great day we had as 30 units of blood were donated and over $750 in donations was collected. A visit by Ada Waclawek was enjoyed by everyone who was present in the morning. A special thank you to the staff at the Chili Community Center for their help in making this event such a great success.

2022 Alison Rose Foundation Charity Golf Tournament
Over $38,000 was raised during this year’s tournament!
After a buffet lunch, golfers were sent off to their respective holes for a shot gun start. A bit of rain didn’t dampen their spirts, as golfers competed for the title of champion. Much fun was had throughout the day’s play. One golfer even had his first hole in one! Another great meal, basket raffle and chipping contest competed the day’s festivities.

What a great success!!! The 2022 Tour de Ali was soldout. We had 40 riders participate in this year’s ride raising $4300 for the Alison Rose Foundation. Three different groups of riders set out on various courses that covered the beautiful area surrounding Keuka Lake. The weather couldn’t have been better as the skies were blue and the temperature stayed at a comfortable level. The event began and ended at Keuka Lake State Park. Participants were thanked with a wonderful lunch. Below are some pictures from the event!
